Survival mode - a never-ending, continuous wave of zombies attack your house! Plant fast and kill the destroy the zombies as quickly as you can, but beware - the level NEVER ends until your stronghold is compromised.
Adventure mode - progress through 50 levels of zombies and increasingly difficult obstacles.
As players advance through levels and collect or purchase coins, they are able to upgrade their plants as well as add slots to gain more seeds to plant. Users are given a limited supply of greens and seeds to start the game. The levels start out easy, the house's front yard in daylight, but gets progressively more challenging when it changes to nighttime where the sun is no longer available to replenish the plants in the yard or moves to the backyard where more obstacles such as a pool get in the way. Players have to think fast and plant even faster in order to kill the ( already dead) zombies. As the zombies slowly walk towards the house, users must place a variety of plants around the house to block or destroy the wave of zombies that are advancing in five to six horizontal lanes leading to the house. This tower defense video game is both thought-provoking and challenging. Each plant and zombie has their own unique description that outlines their attributes in a truly interesting and entertaining way in the Suburban Almanac. Players can plant 49 types of plants each with a different defensive or attacking skill to ward off an invasion that includes 26 different zombies. In this game, users become homeowners who are tasked with saving their homes from the incoming zombies. The award-winning game, Plants vs Zombies, is now FREE for PCs.
